4 Creative Smiles Steps for All-on-4® Treatment in Melbourne

Choosing All-on-4® dental implants is both a dental and financial decision. Therefore, we offer a free initial consultation to explore your goals and assess suitability.

Your dentist will examine your teeth, gums, and jawbone. Following this, they will recommend the most effective All-on-4® treatment plan for your situation.

What is the All-on-4® Treatment Procedure?

Our Melbourne All On 4 dental implants use four strategically placed implants to secure dentures permanently. The implants are tilted at a 45 degree angle to provide the support for total rehabilitation. In addition the tilted implants are strategically placed to avoid parts of the jawbone that are typically poor quality. Meaning bone grafting can be avoided in most cases and the prosthesis can be fitted within days of the surgery.

Our Melbourne All On 4 dentla implants will not slip or click out of place, these dentures feel permanent and provide better health benefits. Implant supported permanent dentures can help prevent bone deterioration and keep you feeling healthy and youthful longer.

All-on-4® Dental Implants vs. Traditional Implants

What is the difference between All-on-4® Dental Implants and traditional implants?

Both All-on-4® and traditional dental implants provide permanent tooth replacement. However, they serve different clinical needs.

Traditional implants usually require one implant per missing tooth. This increases treatment time, surgical complexity, and recovery.

In contrast, All-on-4® dental implants use only four implants per arch. Because fewer implants are placed, treatment is often faster and recovery is shorter.

Additionally, All-on-4® is ideal for patients with bone loss, as the implant angles often eliminate the need for grafting.

All-on-4® Dental Implants Suitability

Am I suitable for All-On-4 Dental Implants?

All-On-4 dental implants are a great solution for individuals missing all or most of their upper/ lower teeth. In order to qualify for All-On-4 implants adequate bone support must be present in the jaw.

Individuals who have used dentures for a large period of time may lack sufficient bone support to successfully support the All-On-4 dental implants. Furthermore if you have had missing teeth for a large period of time your bone structure may have deteriorated.

Consequently if your bones are weak, additional bone grafting procedures may be required to properly prepare the jaw for dental implant placement.

Missing teeth can cause numerous problems ranging from the rapid loss of surrounding teeth to diminished self-confidence. Dental implants can be an effective way for those with missing or decayed teeth to permanently restore their dental function, facial appearance and overall oral health.

Not only can dental implants enhance the appearance of your smile, they actually simulate the tooth root, bone and soft tissues beneath the gum line. Dental implants can be an effective way of helping restore the strength of your tissues and improve your overall dental health.

Dr. Reg De Sousa

Dental Surgeon

As the practice principle at creative smiles I am proud to lead the dedicated team of doctors, nurses and administrative staff at Creative Smiles.

I come from a family of dentists and so grew up around dentistry from a young age helping out whenever I could .Hence my passion for dentistry began at an early age and has grown over the last 30 years that I have been in practice.

I qualified as a dentist from the Royal London Hospital Medical College, (University of London) in 1994. On graduation I completed a years post graduate vocational training and then began working on the NHS for the next 12 years.

During this time I also branched out and opened a small private practice on London’s Harley Street which I had for 5 years until my departure to Melbourne.

While on Harley street, I developed my interest in implant dentistry, and studied for a year in 2007, under a clinical mentorship.

In 2010 I moved to Melbourne with my family and began working as a dentist at Creative Smiles, where I have further developed my skills in implantology and cosmetic dentistry and additionally completed the Invisalign and Spark training.

I have also completed the All-On-4 training at the Malo Clinic in Lisbon, Portugal, where the concept was created, enabling me to offer this treatment concept in addition to the more traditional approach to fixed and removable prosthetic oral rehabilitation to our patients at Creative smiles.
